The survey Family, Social Subjects and Childhood Condition, which is part of an integrated system of social surveys – the ISTAT Multiscopo – points out the basic information relating to the daily life of individuals and families. The survey, conducted every five years, includes the following:

  • family structure and the “commuting” of the family;
  • the kinship networks, networks of informal help and assistance received during critical events;
  • child care;
  • the life of the couple and the wedding;
  • the exit from the immediate family and the life cycle;
  • the permanence of young adults in the family;
  • the characteristics and opinions on some aspects of daily life;
  • the working careers, job search, job interruptions, social mobility and intentions for the future.

In order to optimize the time of use of the dataset (exclusively distributed from ISTAT for not member users), UniData offers a service of convertion from ASCII format to the main statistical software format (SPSS, Stata, R or SAS).
