The Eurobarometer survey is designed to provide regular monitoring of public social and political attitudes in the EU through specific trend questions. Therefore, the general aim of EB is to know the attitudes and evaluations of European citizens about large general themes. The questions concern to the European integration issues, but sometimes they regard also specific problem about single country or common problems of economic, political or social nature.
The arguments of Eurobarometer 85.1OVR are as follows:
- European Youth in 2016: mobility within the European Union (study, training, work); training, school and university education in own country; EU institutions & EU initiative ‘Youth Guarantee’; economic crisis & economic and social life; online social networks; public life in EU; environment and climate change.

UniData – official representative for the dissemination of Eurobarometer surveys in Italy – provides a free data access for all Italian residents upon registration. Data are released in according to GESIS Licence (Category 0), available at this link. Other users will need to contact the GESIS Data Archive.

Eurobarometer 85.1OVR consists of the respondents aged 16 to 30 years from the basic wave Eurobarometer 85.1 (ZA6693), complemented with an oversample of young people of the same age group. In addition to the basic sample about 200 young respondents in each country were interviewed (about 300 in DE).
Questions D62 and D79 are not included in the basic questionnaire but in the dataset. Users may consult the questionnaire of Eurobarometer 85.1. Please note that cases coded “9”/”99″ (“DE-E DE-W GB-GBN”) in questions D62 and D79 are identical with the system missing cases coded “99999999” in variable caseid resp. “999999999” in variable uniqid.
No data are made available for protocol items p1 to p5 and p8 to p11.
